The SVR statement claims that plans may involve reviving a new version of the 2016 Christopher Steele dossier, which falsely alleged links between Trump, his family, and Russian intelligence. Meanwhile, Russia has maintained a cautious stance, with President Vladimir Putin emphasizing that Moscow intends to achieve its security objectives regardless of Washington’s mediation efforts.
