Heads diplomat of Ukraine, WFP talk about collaboration on food stability at UN

(MENAFN) Andrii Sybiha, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, held talks with World Food Program's (WFP) Executive Director Cindy McCain at the UN head office in NY, concentrating on humanitarian partnership, farmland mine clearance, as well as worldwide food stability.

Sybiha stated the discussions covered Ukraine’s cooperation with the UN to enhance assistance delivery as well as resolve food insecurity due to the war with Russia.

He stated on Telegram “I underlined the importance of WFP’s voice in securing the freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.”

He also mentioned that regardless of the war, Ukraine “remains committed to reaffirming our role as a guarantor of global food security.” He stated that food aid from Ukraine has made it to mare than 10 million people in eighteen nations.

Sybiha stated “I expressed gratitude to WFP and its team in Ukraine for their unwavering solidarity and help in delivering life-saving assistance for our people.”
